According to the FBI, a masked offender recently committed an armed robbery at a bank in Oak Lawn.

Authorities said the crime occurred on Aug. 25, at about 12:17 p.m., on the 10400 block of South Cicero Avenue.

FBI officials said the offender displayed a handgun and demanded money. No injuries were reported.

The offender is described as a white or Hispanic man in his 40s or 50s weighing about 150 pounds. He was a wearing a blue surgical mask and green baseball cap, along with a long-sleeved, collared plaid shirt and possibly a short, dark wig.

He fled the scene in a red Nissan, possibly an Altima or a Sentra.
